Prices and Booking
Bikes can be hired from Parkcycle by the hour for up to 4 hours. Prices vary by season with very low rates available in the low season periods! Please check the information below for all prices (high, mid and low season rates).
We offer an advanced booking option and if you book in advance you will qualify for our advanced booking discount on the total cost of your hire! (see rates below). We recommend that advanced bookings are made for busy periods such as holidays and weekends!
To make and advanced booking you need to call us on 07050 209 249 at least 24 hours in advance. Advanced bookings need to be fully paid for at the time of booking by valid bank or credit card in order to reserve your bike(s). This is a non-refundable payment – please see terms and conditions for full terms of your booking.
If you are a large group or large family group we are also offer a group discount on your cycle hire charge provided that you are hiring 6 bikes or more. These can be any combination of bikes – adult/children/tandem/electric etc. (see rates below).
In addition to the above savings, we have introduced special off peak prices for the less busy times of the year and weekdays outside holiday periods. Please refer to the calendar for details of when the peak and off peak periods are!
Of course you can simply turn up and hire too. However please note at peak times we do become very busy – especially in holiday periods and when the weather is good of course. If we don’t have any availability at the time we will try and book you in for later in the day – subject to availability of course.
If you make a booking we would recommend that you arrive 10 minutes prior to your booking time to allow for bike fitting and hire administration. Please arrive on time as at busy times we can only hold bikes for you for a limited period.
Although we may simply ask for a bank card or driving licence to be held throughout the hire period as security for the bike, we reserve the right to take a £100 deposit per hire too – this is taken as an authorization only on your card and will not be cashed unless required. On your return the bank card/ driving licence is returned or in the case of a deposit the authorisation is then voided – subject to the safe and undamaged return of all bikes and equipment.
All payments are by card only.
To work out how long you should hire for please have a look at our "planning your cycle" page as it is a good idea to allow sufficient time to enjoy your experience!
Please note that late returns of cycles will require that an additional payment be made! The supplementary charge however is not onerous as we will only charge you to the next nearest quarter of an hour. For example, if you are 8 mins late you will be charged only for the quarter of an hour (based on the initial hours hire rate)
